About the event
In this family friendly event, join us anytime during the day for a drop-in workshop learning an accessible version of lei po’o (Hawai’i-style floral crowns) for beginners!
Guests will learn how to cut and weave their flowers into a sturdy floral crown - as they are woven in modern Hawai'i to celebrate and honor the wearer, the beauty of flowers and the peaceful experience of mindfully working with plants.
Lei last for 2-4 days if spritzed with water and stored with a plastic bag in the fridge when not wearing. This art is best for ages 6+ and takes about 25 minutes to complete. Certified teacher, ecologist and owner of Puale'a Floral Julia will facilitate your first journey through lei po'o!
