Meet Julia
Owner & Founder
As an ecologist and educator, Julia has 15 years of experience designing, funding and leading programs that foster environmental repair, reconnect people with wild spaces, and support sustainable community development. She holds a B.S. in International Resource Management from the University of Vermont and has led cross-cultural ecological restoration and environmental literacy initiatives across Senegal, Australia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Vermont, North Carolina, and Hawai‘i.
Five transformative years immersed in the landscapes and traditions of Hawai‘i Island led Julia to found Puale‘a—a venture dedicated to revealing the gentle power of flowers and the profound intelligence of natural systems in a clear, accessible way. She leads workshops across New England and beyond unlocking ecological wisdom for creative, productive and problem-solving applications.
